Overview

The Madhai Churna Tiger Trail tour takes you to the jungles of Satpura, where you will see a variety of flora and fauna. The entry to the jungle will be from the Madhai zone, and we will cover the entire tiger reserve in these four days of safaris.

Madhai and Churna are the two major core zones of Satpura Tiger Reserve. We will do the entries from the Madhai zone and cover the Churna zone as well. On two days, lunch will be at the Churna FRH. The tour also covers the Lagda round, Chutki Dev round, Kariya round and Jhinjhini Mahal areas of the Madhai zone.

Central India is famous for its tigers and other wildlife. Famous tigers of the Madhai zone include the Jhinjhini Mahal female, commonly known as the Fireline Female. Ravan is a very famous tiger of the Madhai zone, but is seen very rarely. Famous tigers of the Churna zone include Pratap and Rudra.

Satpura Tiger Reserve is also famous for leopards and sloth bears, and it is a bird watcher’s delight with a variety of birds.

The tour starts from Itarsi Railway Station or Bhopal Airport, with pick up by Innova or Sedan. The best way to reach is by train up to Itarsi Junction and then by cab to Satpura Tiger Reserve, Madhai zone. We can also provide service from Bhopal Airport to Satpura Tiger Reserve, Madhai zone.

Day 1Arrival and night safari5 activities
  1. Pick up from Pipariya / Itarsi / Bhopal and drop to the Madhai resort.
  2. Check in at the pre-booked resort in Madhai Tiger Reserve.
  3. A night safari in the Parsapani buffer zone is a major attraction, where you will see the backwater with its flora and fauna.
  4. Activities and bonfire in the evening, followed by dinner and relaxation.
  5. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 2Churna zone safari4 activities
  1. Morning tea, followed by a full-day safari of the Churna zone with entry from the Madhai zone gate.
  2. Break for lunch at Churna FRH and another safari in the afternoon.
  3. Return to the resort in the evening and enjoy the pool and recreation.
  4. Dinner and relaxation.
Day 3Churna zone safari4 activities
  1. Morning tea, followed by a full-day safari of the Churna zone with entry from the Madhai zone gate.
  2. Break for lunch at Churna FRH and another safari in the afternoon.
  3. Return to the resort in the evening and enjoy the pool and recreation.
  4. Dinner and relaxation.
Day 4Madhai safari and departure2 activities
  1. Morning tea, followed by a safari in the Madhai zone with packed breakfast.
  2. After the safari, come back and freshen up, complete the check-out formalities and take transfers to Pipariya / Itarsi / Bhopal to board your return train or flight, with sweet memories.
