Overview
The Madhai Churna Trail tour in Satpura National Park takes you to the habitat of Satpura, where you will see a variety of flora and fauna. The major attraction that invites tourists to the park is the chance of catching a glimpse of a tiger. In summer, tigers can be spotted near water bodies. There are also a number of deer, leopards and bison, and a variety of birds.
The entry of the safaris will be from the Madhai zone. We will cover the Churna and Madhai zones in these three days of safaris. Madhai and Churna are the two major core zones of Satpura Tiger Reserve. We will do the entries from the Madhai zone and cover the Churna zone as well. On two days, lunch will be at the Churna FRH. The tour also covers the Lagda round, Chutki Dev round, Kariya round and Jhinjhini Mahal areas of the Madhai zone. We will do a night safari in the Parsapani zone or the Jamani Dev zone, depending on the sighting updates of that day.
Madhai Churna Trail itinerary
Day 1Arrival and night safari5 activities
- Pick up from Pipariya / Itarsi / Bhopal and drop to the Madhai resort.
- Check in at the pre-booked resort in Madhai Tiger Reserve.
- A night safari in the Parsapani / Jamani buffer zone is a major attraction, where you will see the flora and fauna of the buffer zone.
- Activities and bonfire in the evening, followed by dinner and relaxation.
- Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 2Churna zone safari4 activities
- Morning tea, followed by a full-day safari of the Churna zone with entry from the Madhai zone gate.
- Break for lunch at Churna FRH and another safari in the afternoon.
- Return to the resort in the evening and enjoy the pool and recreation.
- Dinner and relaxation.
Day 3Madhai safari and departure2 activities
- Morning tea, followed by a safari in the Madhai zone with packed breakfast.
- After the safari, come back and freshen up, complete the check-out formalities and take transfers to Pipariya / Itarsi / Bhopal to board your return train or flight, with sweet memories.

What does the Madhai Churna Trail include?

Which zones will I see?
You enter from the Madhai zone and cover the Churna zone as well, including the Lagda, Chutki Dev and Kariya rounds and Jhinjhini Mahal. Lunch on the Churna day is at Churna FRH.
Is there a night safari?
Yes. A night safari is done in the Parsapani or Jamani Dev buffer zone, depending on the sighting updates of that day.
Can I see a tiger on this trail?
A tiger is the main attraction of the park, and in summer tigers can often be spotted near water bodies. Deer, leopards, bison and many birds are also seen, but no sighting is guaranteed.
What is the cancellation policy?
Refunds are given only on accommodation: 50% if you cancel 30 days before the trip, 25% if you cancel 15 days before, and none within 15 days. There is no refund on safari bookings. A 100% advance is needed to book.
